APR 27: FEEDER SINGER BREAKS CHEEKBONE - ONE SHOW CANCELLED

"This past Sunday, the lead singer of Feeder was injured and broke his cheek bone. Obviously, Feeder had to cancel the show that night in the UK. Despite a broken cheek, he will perform at the rest of the shows on the UK tour. Therefore, all shows are on as scheduled, and all three bands (Feeder, Everclear, and Carrie) will play the remainder of this tour.

"NO other shows have been cancelled."

APR 21: CRAIG NOT ON UK TOUR - BAND'S OKAY

Here's what's really going on, contrary to the report on Australia's Triple J:

"The rumors are partially correct. Craig is physically exhausted after six months of non-stop touring (Everclear's touring schedule is much harder than that of most bands).

"Because the UK tour started one day after the Australian tour was scheduled to end, Craig asked his bass tech, who is a close friend of his and who knows all the Everclear songs by heart, to fill in for him on the UK tour. Craig is taking this time off so that he is fully rested for the US tour with Marcy Playground and Fastball, which Craig will definitely play on.

"Hopefully, this will put to rest the false rumors that Everclear are breaking up or that Craig is leaving the band. He's just tired."

The band is NOT breaking up. Triple J is full of it.

APR 18: ALT.MUSIC.EVERCLEAR NEWSGROUP

Everclear finally has their own USENET newsgroup! I created it myself last night. However, since it was JUST created, most people won't have access to it.

If you don't have access to it yet, wait until Monday afternoon. If you STILL don't have access to it then, email your ISP's news admin - typically at news@yourdomain.com - and request that they add it.

(Be sure to put your ISP's domain name in the 'yourdomain.com' blank.)

APR 18: UK AND US TOURS STILL ON

The current word is that both the UK and US tours are still on as planned, with no cancellations.

Several shows went on sale today - see Tour Dates for more info.

APR 18: AUSTRALIAN MESS UPDATE

Here's the latest on what happened in Australia:

      1) Craig's bass has been recovered. A 20-year-old male was arrested for the theft.

      2) Apparently, there was at least one other factor leading up to the cancellation of the Australian tour. At the Wollongong show, someone threw a shoe at Art. It hit him in the face and loosened a few of his teeth.

      3) According to unconfirmed reports, the "firecracker" incident (which apparently happened at the Melbourne show, not the X-Treme Games show) was actually a pipe bomb.

Which means that three incidents happened at three consecutive shows. That, plus the band's exhaustion, led to the cancellation of the remaining Australian dates.

Reportedly, the band has promised to make up the New Zealand dates at a later time.

APR 12: AUSTRALIAN TOUR ENDS EARLY

Here's what we know. At today's show at the X-Treme Games Concert in Australia, someone stole Craig's acoustic bass guitar before the show. To top that off, during the show, someone threw a firecracker at Art. It missed, but when a roadie ran over to get it off the stage, it exploded in the roadie's hand.

Subsequently, the band decided to cancel the rest of the Australian tour.

There's a possibility that the UK tour may be cancelled as well. But there hasn't been any offical word from the band.

The US tour is still on schedule. But it may be their last tour for a while.

APR 12: ART'S A YEAR OLDER

On a happier note, Happy 36th Birthday to Art Alexakis!

APR 1: ART SOLO ALBUM

Art's working on a solo album. Guitar with drums and loops, etc.
