Back before TRL was TRL, it was called MTV Live. Essentially, MTV Live was TRL without the daily countdown, leaving ample time in the hour for interviews and live performances.

On March 10, 1998, Everclear appeared on the show and performed two acoustic songs. The first song was "Everything to Everyone".

After "Everything to Everyone", Everclear took to the couch and were interviewed by Carson Daly. Following the interview, Everclear performed "I Will Buy You a New Life".
