the first single hitting radio in January.

SEP 4: TOUR INFO UPDATE
An update to the previous post below...
The big-city tour that the band was planning to undertake in the fall to
support Slow Motion Daydream will instead follow the album's release
in January. But in the meantime, the band is hoping to schedule a college
and small-market tour for the fall. More info TBA.
SEP 3: NEW ALBUM DELAYED
At the Seattle Bumbershoot show this past weekend, Art mentioned
that they've decided to delay the release of Slow Motion Daydream.
Art's written some new material, and wants to include it on the final
album in place of some of the songs that have already been recorded.
The band should be re-entering the studio in the next few weeks.
They're planning to release the completed album in January.
No word yet on how this will affect tour dates. No fall tour dates
were announced, so the band may wait until closer to the album release
date to tour.
AUG 30: NEW ALBUM UPDATE
Okay, folks, here's what's up with the new record (if you haven't already
heard about it elsewhere).
It's titled Slow Motion Daydream. The band recorded it in recent months
in Portland with Art behind the boards. To mix the record, they brought in
Randy Staub, who also mixed Nickelback's Silver Side Up.
The album is currently due for release on October 8th, but murmurs from
the band imply that it will probably be delayed at least a couple of weeks
from that date. The fall US tour should commence on whatever day the
album is released, likely in either New York City or Los Angeles.
Art said recently on KRNK
that the first single from the new album will likely be "Volvo-Driving Soccer Mom",
a song that was popular on Art's spring solo tour. (We have his solo acoustic
performance from Last Call with Carson Daly in our
Song of the Moment.)
AUG 30: TOURING BAND UPDATE
If you catch Everclear this weekend in either Portland or Seattle,
don't be surprised if there are fewer musicians on stage than you may have seen
in the past. Instead of the six-member touring band of last year, Everclear's
back to their 1997-era four-man operation.
Joining Art, Craig, and Greg on stage will be new touring guitarist
Alessandro Cortini. Most recently, he was the touring guitarist of the
Mayfield Four, which
toured with Everclear in recent years.
