APR 28: EVERCLEAR ON LOVELINE
Everclear appeared on the Loveline radio show last night. Not much
in the way of news came out, but here's what came up.
"Wonderful" is due to hit radio May 22nd. They filmed the video
for it this past week. The song itself is a child's point of view
of divorce. They played a minute-long clip
of the end of the song over the air. (My opinion - it wasn't enough
to get a good idea of what the song sounds like.)
As mentioned during Art's last appearance on Loveline in December,
Everclear won't do a major tour until after the release of the
second album, which is due in October or November. But they plan
to tour for all of 2001.
Art talked briefly about his throat surgery last year. He said
that the pathologist who examined the tissue after the surgery said
it was the most he'd ever seen removed from one person. Art had a
cyst, a callus, and three nodes removed.
Before and during the show, a film crew recorded what will eventually
be an interview between Adam Carolla and Everclear. No word yet what,
if anything, will come out of it.
APR 21: EVERCLEAR ON LOVELINE RADIO
Everclear will appear on the Loveline radio show (not MTV) on Thursday,
April 27th at 10pm PT. Check our Loveline Notes page
to find out when this show will air where you live.
APR 13: COMMITTED PREMIERE
The premiere for the movie "Committed", featuring Art's major motion picture debut,
will take place on Tuesday, April 18th at the Mann Festival in Westwood, located at 10887
Lindbrook, Los Angeles, California.
Tickets to see the movie are not available to the public, but it's an opportunity to do
some star-watching (if you're into that sort of thing). Art is planning to attend, so you'll
be able to spot him walking down the red carpet.
The movie is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm - red carpet arrivals and interviews will likely
begin an hour or two before that.
"Committed" opens in theaters on April 28th.
APR 7: ALBUM RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED
Everclear's next record, Songs from an American Movie: Vol 1 (Learning How to Smile)
will appear in record stores in the United States on Tuesday, July 11th, 2000.
Release dates for other countries have not yet been determined, but should be announced soon.
MAR 21: TRANSCRIPT OF ART'S TESTIFYING
A transcript of Art's statement in front of the Subcommittee of Human Resources
has been added to the House of Representatives web page.

The House of Representatives web site also has transcripts of the other panelists
who spoke that afternoon.
MAR 11: ART ON PORTLAND TV
Art appeared Friday morning on "Good Day Oregon", the local morning
program on KPTV-12 in Portland.
He discussed the usual topics - his life and his music. He
also performed an acoustic version of "I Will Buy You a New Life".
His appearance was mostly connected to his involvement in "Teen
Talk 2000", a health conference being held on Tuesday, March 14th,
in Beaverton, Oregon.
(Thanks Melissa!)
MAR 9: ART TO TESTIFY
Art will be testifying before Congress next week on the deadbeat parent
issue. This is the topic he discussed on the Spitfire tour.
On Thursday, March 16, the Subcommittee on Human Resources of the
Committee on Ways and Means will conduct a hearing on the advantages
and disadvantages of the Hyde-Woolsey child support bill, H.R. 1488.
Art will speak on behalf of ACES
