FEB 27: CAPITOL RECORDS CONTEST

For College Radio Only EP

Capitol Records' website is having an Everclear contest, with prizes including copies of Everclear's For College Radio Only EP, the "Everything to Everyone" single, and glow-in-the-dark posters and t-shirts. They're calling it the I Will Buy You a New Life contest.

Basically, they want you to write down what you'd buy if money were no object, in less than two paragraphs. And do so by May 15, 1998.

Of course, if you'd rather buy copies of those discs, you can still find them at Southland CD. But that kind of takes the fun out of it!

FEB 27: FAN CLUB PASSES

If you're a member of the Everclear Fan Club, and have a fan club pass, you'll be able to use it all of the shows on the US tour.

This is contrary to an earlier report, and to what it says on the Everclear Fan Club page.

FEB 27: EVERCLEAR IN LAUNCH MAGAZINE

Everclear is featured heavily in the current issue of the multimedia magazine Launch.

Launch is available on CD-Rom, and includes an interview and some video clips of Everclear's show at the El Rey in Los Angeles from November of 1997.

To get a free copy, click here.

FEB 25: LIVE FROM THE HOUSE OF BLUES

Everclear's concert in Orlando at the House of Blues on Wednesday, March 4th, will be cybercast on LiveConcerts.com.

The cybercast is set to begin at 10:00pm ET.

Be sure to download the latest version of the RealPlayer.

FEB 18: T-SHIRTS FROM JSR UNDERWORLD

JSR Underworld has Everclear shirts available, but they're not listed on their web page. I received an order form from them with a list of some of their Everclear merchandise. To see a transcription of the form, click here.

FEB 17: ROLLING STONE ARTICLES

There's an interview with Art Alexakis in the current issue of Rolling Stone. This month's issue has Kate Winslet on the cover.

There was also a brief review of Our Lady Peace / Everclear concert in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the previous issue (with South Park on the cover).

FEB 3: "IWBYANL" ON 12 ANGRY VIEWERS

The video for "I Will Buy You a New Life" was reviewed on Monday, February 2.

The jury gave it a score of 53, making it the winning video of the day. Several jurors said that they could identify with it's suburban storyline.

FEB 2: NEW VIDEO PREMIERES

Pictures from MTV Online

The video for "I Will Buy You a New Life" debuted on 120 Minutes on Sunday, Feb 1.
