MAY 27: EVERCLEAR ON MOM III

Everclear's cover of the Ventures' "Walk Don't Run", which appeared on the For College Radio Only EP and several import singles, will be appearing on MOM III: Music for Our Mother Ocean.

The compilation will also feature tracks from Pearl Jam, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, the Beastie Boys, and more. As most of you know, Everclear's "Hateful" appeared on the first MOM compilation.

MOM III is due out July 15.

MAY 20: EVERCLEAR ON NEW SOUNDTRACK

Everclear will appear on the soundtrack for the movie Detroit Rock City. They will be submitting a cover of Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town".

MAY 19: EVERCLEAR WINS TWO BMI AWARDS

At a ceremony held in Los Angeles Tuesday night, Everclear was honored with two BMI Pop Awards. The winning songs were Everything to Everyone and I Will Buy You A New Life.

According to the ceremony program, "The BMI Awards presented this evening are for the most performed songs in the BMI repertoire for the period beginning October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, 1998." The awards are presented to the songs' writers and publishers, which in this case is Art, Craig, Greg, and Rondor.

MAY 15: ART TO PERFORM AT BENEFIT

A June 23 benefit at the Hollywood Athletic Club dubbed the Medicine Ball will feature sets from Everclear leader Art Alexakis, singer/songwriter Victoria Williams and ska pop band General Public. The show will benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which assists artists in need.

MAY 10: EVERCLEAR NOMINATED FOR BMI AWARD

Everclear have been nominated for a BMI Award, presented by the publishing organization. Two years ago, they won an award for "Santa Monica". The awards will be presented on May 18th. (They will not be televised.)
