April 1999 | March 1999 | January - February 1999

MAR 25: HOUSE OF BLUES WEBCAST DELAYED

The video interview scheduled to be available today at the House of Blues website has been delayed until March 31.

The interview that can be seen there now was taped for the Hollywood Palladium web-cast.

More info: HOB Everclear page.

MAR 25: RUMORS SUCK

Dispelling the myths:

1) Everclear is not breaking up. The crap that Mancow spewed on his morning show wasn't even remotely the truth. The real truth? Mancow didn't even share an airplane ride with Art as he so claimed. Everclear has been touring for SMFTA for a year and a half, and are now ready for a break.

2) Art is not dying, and he doesn't have some rare blood disease. What he has is a treatable neck disk problem that is causing pain in his right arm. He's having surgery prior to the April tour dates.

3) The rumor that Howard Stern and Art "had it out" or "hate each other" is also completely untrue. Howard Stern got strep throat and had to cancel his show the day Everclear was scheduled to be on. They tried to reschedule for the next day in case Howard was well enough to return to work, but were unable to do so. They had to leave NYC very early the next morning in order to arrive in SC in time to play their show there.

4) MTV is mistaken. As of this moment, there are no plans for a summer tour.

MAR 15: HOWARD STERN APPEARANCE CANCELLED

Everclear's appearance this morning on the Howard Stern radio show was cancelled due to Howard coming down with an illness.

Due to Everclear's mini-tour, the appearance will not be rescheduled for this week.

MAR 9: ART TO HAVE NECK SURGERY

Art suffered some kind of neck injury during the current Sno-Core tour, and will have to undergo surgery immediately following the Florida / South Carolina mini-tour.

Art originally believed that he'd have to postpone the FL / SC tour, but doctors cleared him to finish the tour.

This is completely unrelated to the throat surgery that Art may have later this year.
